Jason Wester, PhD
Jason Wester is a postdoctoral fellow at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) in the lab of Chris McBain. His current work is focused on mapping circuits between specific interneuron subtypes and excitatory principal cells identified by the projection target of their long-range axon. He is the recipient of a National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke Competitive Fellowship Award, which in part supports this work. Wester received a BS in computer science from the University of Miami and PhD in neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine in the lab of Diego Contreras.
