Join leaders in the field of biomedical research for a panel discussion on how diversity strengthens science. Speakers will present data on the scientific workforce and provide examples of what individuals at institutions can do to ensure that diversity is prioritized at all levels.
Following, two panels with complementing breakout sessions will address developing and implementing effective scientific communication skills. “Responding to Criticism on Scientific Publications” will provide guidance on tools to address the feedback of reviewers and ways to improve writing. “Developing and Communicating Your Public Image” will give tips on public speaking, presenting, and creating an online presence.
