Taking Your Advocacy to the Next Level
Become a more sophisticated, well-rounded advocate for science and biomedical research through the training offered in this webinar series created by Research!America and SfN.
Through four webinars held between December 2017-June 2018, SfN and Research!America members will learn the science communication fundamentals, key policy issues, public opinion research, and strategies that will help you advocate more effectively in different settings.
Anyone in the field can take advantage of the insights, anecdotes, and practical advice offered by the webinars’ featured experts, who include former Hill staffers, nonprofit executives, academics, policy consultants, and science writers.
While these webinars are primarily designed for U.S. audiences, scientists around the world may find the trainings useful, especially because they will cover science communication, public opinion research, and outreach principles and tips — and not just focus solely on US-based systems.
All four webinars, which are open to SfN and Research!America members, are now available to view on-demand.
Webinar One: Leveraging Public Opinion in Support of Science
Webinar Two: Strategies to Maximize Your Advocacy Results
Webinar Three: Inspiring Others to Be Science Advocates
Webinar Four: Measuring Advocacy Outcomes
