Thierry Gallopin, PhD
Thierry Gallopin is an associate professor of physiology at ESPCI ParisTech, where he contributed to identifying and characterizing the role of neocortical GABAergic interneurons in mice. In 2011, he created a new emerging team in the Brain Plasticity Unit at ESPCI ParisTech. His team focuses on the understanding of the cellular and molecular mechanisms responsible for the initiation and maintenance of sleep. He earned his Ph.D in Neurophysiology in 2002 at the University Claude Bernard in Lyon (France).
