Sanbing Shen, PhD
Sanbing Shen is a professor of fundamental stem cell biology at the National University of Ireland (NUI) Galway. He received his BS from Hangzhou University, MSc from Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, and PhD from Hubrecht Laboratory in Utrecht. During his previous appointments in the MRC, Universities of Edinburgh and Aberdeen, he made and characterized a number of transgenic mouse models for circadian clock (Vipr2), hydrocephalus (ADCYAP1R1), anxiety (5-HTT), and schizophrenia (Disc1). After arriving at NUI Galway, his major research focus has been human iPSC models of neurological diseases.
