Robert Morecraft, PhD

Robert Morecraft is professor at the University of South Dakota School Sanford of Medicine. He studies nerve interconnections of the cerebral cortex and the organization of descending cortical projections to motor-related targets in the brainstem and spinal cord in the non-human primate brain. His research also focuses on investigating structural neuroplasticity that accompanies recovery of arm and hand movement following injury to the cerebral cortex in non-human primates.
