Richard Piet, PhD
Richard Piet is a research fellow in the Center for Neuroendocrinology and department of physiology at the University of Otago in New Zealand. His team employs in vitro patch-clamp electrophysiology, optogenetics, live cell calcium imaging, and neural pathway tract tracing to study the neurophysiological mechanisms involved in regulating the activity of the gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) neurons and, ultimately, fertility in all mammals.
