Keith Elmslie, PhD
Keith Elmslie is professor and chair of the department of pharmacology at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine of A.T. Still University of Health Sciences. His research is focused on determining the role of ion channels in controlling cellular excitability and how mutations and pharmacological treatments affect that control. His work has helped elucidate a novel mechanism by which ω-conotoxins (important analgesic drugs) affect CaV2.2 (N-type) channel gating.
