Christophe Varin
Christophe Varin is a PhD student under the supervision of Patrice Fort at the Lyon Neurosciences Research Center. His works focuses on deciphering the neuronal mechanisms controlling or modulating the alternation of vigilance states. Varin received a Master’s degree in neuroscience from Sorbonne University. His Master’s thesis focused on identifying a neuronal support of the coupling between sleep and metabolism by demonstrating that glucose could enhance the excitability of neurons responsible for sleep onset and maintenance located in the anterior hypothalamus. This work was awarded during the 21st Congress of the European Sleep Research Society.
